I have this innately amazing ability to find new sources of distraction whenever I get over a previous one. It is like addiction, where the only way to get over one addiction is to get a new one. This time, it is Original Character Tournaments* and the works of *Unknown-person.

I first learned of OCTs when I came to college and noticed *Yamisukoru drawing comics for *MissDarkShiva's Zenshi Devistation tournament in class. I did not think much of it at the time; in fact, I didn't even realize it had to do with dA.

Later on, I notice =Chibi-Zelly drawing fanart of Unknown's characters, Karl & Arma. Arma being a "weapon/bird thing" caught my attention, driving me to visit Unknown's gallery . . . where I camped out for a while. I glanced through the pages until I got to the point where I stopped seeing Danny Phantom fanart** and looked at his entries in `Endling's Endzone tournament. I was amazed at what I saw, especially the Flash animations (The comics are awesome too, but I am a sucker for Flash). Then I looked through his entries in =Sins-Of-Angels' Law of Talos Tourney, which also blew me away. Karl is a pretty fun character, the kind that "tells the truth as frequently as he's not smiling." He is made of ceramic and awesomity.

I digress. Where was I . . . oh yes, OCTs. Watching all those made me want to join one, of course, in case you could not already tell where I was going with this. Although I probably will not find an OCT with as cool of a backstory as Endzone for a while, I looked around and found a fairly cool one, ~The-End-Of-Days-OCT. I figured it would be a fun challenge to enter that one and see what I can do with it, because at least then I will have a more productive distraction on my hands with deadlines that I will have to get used to meeting.

Well, this will either push me forward into being productive or send me on a painful downward spiral that is laziness. Let us hope I meet the former.

*Original Character Tournaments (OCTs) are, in a nutshell, battles fought with story-telling media, usually comics. In a round, an artist draws their OC defeating the opponent's OC, and the one with the better story/fight wins the round and their entry becomes canon.

**I have nothing against Danny Phantom, I simply have no intrest in him or his series.</sub>
